Stonebrae Builder Donates House to Wounded Veteran

November 15, 2014

We’re proud to announce that Meritage Homes, one of our builders at Stonebrae, in partnership with Operation Homefront, awarded Sergeant Joseph Morgan and his family the keys to their newly built, mortgage-free home in the city of Lincoln.

A decorated U.S. Marine and wounded veteran, Joseph was on the front lines of his unit in Iraq in 2004 and 2005. After serving almost 13 years, Joseph was honorably discharged in 2008, suffering from post-traumatic stress and some physical injuries. This 3-bedroom, 2-bath and 1,972-sq.-ft. home will be the first home that the Morgans will own as a family and will provide Joseph, his wife and children with a comfortable place to live for many years to come.

By showing appreciation for a distinguished veteran and his family, Meritage Homes shows its character is equal to the craftsmanship. Along with Meritage Homes and Operation Homefront, We wish Joseph, Cortney and their kids a very happy homecoming! Stay tuned for photos from the Operation Homefront Key Ceremony as well as updates on Meritage Homes’ next project at Stonebrae – The Pinnacle.
