The Stonebrae Classic Returns

February 27, 2014

After a year off, The Stonebrae Classic is returning to the Tour schedule! The professional golf tournament was previously hosted by TPC Stonebrae from 2009 through 2012, but the tournament was put on hiatus in 2013 so that the new Clubhouse and grounds construction could begin.

This year, from July 28 through August 3, the tournament will be played on our beautiful course overlooking the San Francisco Bay, designed by famed golf course designer David McLay Kidd. The Stonebrae Classic will feature 156 players competing over 72 holes of stroke play – all for a purse of $600,000, with the champion taking home $108,000.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit The First Tee of Oakland and other Bay Area charities that participate in the Tour’s volunteer program. A Pro-Am will also be played on the course on Wednesday, July 30. Please see GM Eric Jacobson for details on how you can play in this year’s Pro-Am.

We’re so excited that the Stonebrae Classic is returning to our course. Each Member of the Club will receive tickets to the tournament and we look forward to seeing you soon on the fairways!
