Savor the Flavor of Stonebrae’s New Sous Chef

We have a new team member who has chopped, diced, boiled, mixed, sautéed, whisked, creamed, broiled, seared and, of course, taste tested his way to the top.

Sous Chef Brian Langevin definitely knows the importance of flavor, presentation and satisfaction when it comes to food.

For Langevin it has always been about fresh produce, and his love of cooking started when he was a young boy preparing meals for his family.

Working from the ground up, at 18 Langevin washed dishes at the Fairmont while he attended San Jose State University. From there he continued his kitchen career working under chefs for Straits, Pearl’s Kitchen and Trader Vic’s.

Soon after, Langevin accepted the position of executive chef at the nightclub Ruby Skye in San Francisco. There he had the pleasure of cooking for VIP celebrities, including Richard Branson, Alicia Keys and Rihanna.

Langevin also had the pleasure of training and working with Tony of Tony’s Napoletana San Francisco, which is the top-rated pizza restaurant in the country. Tony later opened another restaurant, Pizza Rock Sacramento, where Langevin took over as Executive Chef, serving over 1,000 pizzas each day.

Finally, Langevin returned to the Bay Area as a lover of food, a creator of taste and a master of pizza.

His own food philosophy is “Globally inspired and locally created.”
