Let the Celebration Begin!

September 30, 2011

When Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen was married to Crown Prince Ludwig I on October 12, 1810, the citizens of Munich were guests at the wedding celebration held at the city gates. In honor of the royal family, the party was closed with a number of horse races in which the residents of Bavaria partook in. The following year, it was decided that the festivities would be repeated, and this gave rise to what we know of today as Oktoberfest!

For nearly 200 years, people from everywhere have flocked to Germany to participate in the world’s largest annual festival. But Oktoberfest doesn’t require a trip to Germany anymore. Today people from all walks of life and parts of the world can partake in the celebration in their own cities. That’s why Stonebrae invites you to join in its local Oktoberfest celebration!

Bring the entire family to join us on Sunday, October 8, when we transform our courtyard into a German beer garden complete with carnival games for the kids, an assortment of festive Seasonal Beers and fine German inspired fare. This afternoon of fun will be complimented with face painting, live music, games and more!

Be sure to make your reservation today!
