Natural Surroundings
Stonebrae Country Club consists of over 1,600 acres and the Stonebrae development team is committed to ensuring the vast majority of this land is preserved as open space. Work towards this includes:
- Development has been limited to 400 acres.
- The dedicated lands to East Bay Regional Park District coupled with the project's golf course, private open space, paved parkways and public parks, means that 90% of the property is devoted to open space and recreational uses.
- Over a thousand acres surrounding Stonebrae Country Club has been restored for the preservation of wildlife will be dedicated to the East Bay Regional Park District.
- Two hundred acres of Stonebrae Country Club property have been permanently set aside for wildlife conservation within the development.
- Many old-growth oaks moved during development, have been carefully replanted in open space areas.
- Stonebrae Country Club's developer, Stonebrae LP, will purchase an additional 120 acres of adjoining land east of the Stonebrae Country Club property and dedicate it permanently to conservation.
- Stonebrae LP has established a $1.5 million fund for the future acquisition of conservation land.
